What are the uses of high strength titanium alloy bars?

Titanium alloy rod has the advantages of high strength, low density, good mechanical properties, good toughness, corrosion resistance and so on. In addition, titanium alloy rod process performance is poor, cutting difficulties, hot processing is easy to absorb hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon and other impurities, poor wear resistance, complex production process. Industrial production of titanium began in 1948. In order to meet the needs of the development of aviation industry, titanium industry is developing at an average annual rate of about 8%.

(1) High strength of titanium alloy bar
The density of titanium alloy can be analyzed generally around 4.5g/cm3, which is only 60% of steel. The strength of pure titanium is close to the strength of ordinary steel in our enterprise. Some problems have high strength and the strength of titanium alloy exceeds that of alloy structural steel in many related studies. Therefore, the specific strength (strength/density) of titanium alloy is much higher than that of other metal industrial structure design materials, which can produce high working strength, good rigidity and light weight parts.

(2) High thermal strength of titanium alloy rod

(3) The corrosion resistance of titanium alloy rod is good
The corrosion resistance of titanium alloy is obviously better than that of stainless steel in humid atmosphere and seawater, and it has good corrosion resistance to alkali, chlorine, chlorine, nitric acid, sulfuric acid and so on. But the corrosion resistance of titanium to reduced oxygen and chromate medium is poor.

(4) The low temperature performance of titanium alloy rod is good
The mechanical properties of titanium alloy can be maintained at low and ultra-low temperatures. Titanium alloys with good low-temperature performance and very low clearance design elements, such as TA7, can maintain a certain plasticity at -253℃ by themselves.
