Inspection of titanium castings

1. Appearance detection of titanium castings
In the production of titanium castings, appearance inspection must first be carried out to find the corresponding defects. Appearance inspection requires visual observation first, and then microscopic inspection with magnifying glass or microscope to determine the detection data of titanium castings.

2. X-ray detection
X-ray inspection is a non-contact inspection method that can be used to detect internal defects in titanium castings. The internal defects of titanium castings can be found by entering the inside of the titanium castings with X-rays and recording the absorption of the titanium castings with X-rays.

3, ultrasonic detection
Ultrasonic detection is also a non-contact detection method, suitable for the detection of surface defects and internal defects. Ultrasonic testing requires the use of special ultrasonic probes to detect material defects using the energy of sound waves.

4. Magnetic particle detection
Magnetic powder detection is an important method for surface defect detection of titanium castings. It takes magnetic powder particles as the medium, sprays them on the surface of titanium castings, and gathers magnetic powder particles on the surface of titanium castings through the action of magnetic field, so as to find surface defects.

5. Coating detection
Coating inspection is the detection of defects such as coating adhesion, surface morphology and texture. The coating is usually detected by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and other detection methods.

6. Routine physical performance test
Conventional physical properties testing is aimed at titanium castings mechanical properties testing, chemical properties testing, thermodynamic properties testing and other aspects of the test. Commonly used conventional physical property tests include tensile tests, impact tests, hardness tests, chemical tests, etc.
