Superconducting Niobium(RRR>300) production process
For high purity Niobium production, Nb2O5 was usually reduced to crude Niobium first. Then the crude Niobium was purified by electron beam smelting, followed by rolling, pickling, annealing and polishing process. After these processes above, high purity Niobium materials (RRR>300) can be obtained.

Application of Superconducting Niobium(RRR>300)
RRR>300 high purity Niobium material is suitable for RF superconducting cavity. It can be used to make superconducting microwave resonance accelerators and cavities. The accelerator wall made of Superconducting Niobium as material has the feature of Low high-frequency resistance, which can prevent high frequency loss in transmission.
In addition to superconducting properties, good mechanical properties must also be considered for accelerator cavity materials used. High purity Niobium can be made into semi-shells through deep stamping process, then multi-segment of these semi-shells were weld into an accelerator cavity.
