Hastelloy C-276

Overview of Hastelloy C-276
Hastelloy C-276(UNS N10276) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with universal corrosion resistance that is unmatched by any other alloy. It has excellent resistance to a variety of chemical treatment environments, including iron and copper ammonide, thermal contaminated inorganic acids, solvents, chlorine and ammonia contaminated organic and inorganic pollutants, dry ammonia, formic acid and acetic acid, acetic anhydride, sea water and salt solutions, hypsoxine and ammonia dioxide solutions.

The C-276 alloy also prevents the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the welding heat affected zone, making it usable for most chemical processes in the welded state. It has excellent resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking.

C-276 Application
Mold manufacturing: Used to manufacture high-temperature molds, withstand high temperature and high pressure working environment.
It is often used in key components such as towers, heat exchangers, reactors and pumps in production equipment, especially in acidic environments.
For example, in the production process of sulfuric acid reactors and piping systems, because sulfuric acid is highly corrosive to metals, the application of Hastelloy C-276 can effectively extend the service life of the equipment.
Hastelloy C-276 can maintain stability in high salinity Marine environments and is widely used in offshore oil production, natural gas transmission and seawater desalination equipment.
Pharmaceutical industry: In the production process of pharmaceutical equipment, equipment materials are required to have extremely high corrosion resistance and do not react with drugs. Hastelloy C-276 is widely used in high-purity drug production and bioreactor equipment to ensure product quality and safety.
