Analysis of the Economic Benefits of the Three-Roll Titanium Tube Assembly Device
I. Utilization rate of metallic titanium:
Due to the fact that the vertical column of the rotating die titanium pipe assembly is 500mm away from the center of the die, during the titanium pipe manufacturing process, there will be transition sections higher than 500mm at both the head and tail, which cannot be rolled and will be cut off. Moreover, due to the inherent deficiencies of the rotating die pipe assembly, the butt welds will be pulled apart and scrapped. Therefore, the utilization rate of metallic titanium is only about 80%. However, using the three-roll pipe assembly to roll the titanium pipe without cutting the head and tail and without the possibility of cracking the butt welds, the utilization rate of metallic titanium can reach 95%, an increase of 15%.
II. Tooling Costs:
Since the chemical equipment is a kind of non-standard equipment, the diameters of the rolled pipes are not standard, and accordingly, the diameters of the coils for each type of pipe are also not standard. Therefore, it is necessary to manufacture rotating molds of corresponding sizes. The cost of the rotating mold and the coil device is relatively high. However, the three-roll titanium pipe device does not require a large number of molds. When the diameter of the pipe changes, only the pulleys need to be replaced. The diameter of the coil can be achieved by adjusting the height of the upper roller. Compared with the rotating mold coil device, the three-roll coil device not only saves a large amount of manufacturing materials but also has a shorter processing cycle. Generally, the molds required for the rotating mold coil device with small diameters cost several thousand yuan, while those with large diameters cost several tens of thousands of yuan. However, the price of the molds for the three-roll coil device is often negligible.
III. Conclusion:
(1) The three-roll pipe rolling machine is easy to operate, simple to use, and has high production efficiency. The material utilization rate reaches 95%, and the tooling cost is much lower than that of the rotating die pipe rolling machine.
(2) The titanium tubes produced by the three-roll titanium tube forming device have a beautiful appearance and high dimensional accuracy. This design avoids the occurrence of wrinkling and cracking in the tube forming process using rotating tooling.
